The U.S. is adding more approved airports for some visitor visa travelers who may be asked to pay a refundable deposit before travel. Toronto and Montréal are now included from January 1, 2026. Nepal is listed to join the rule from January 21, 2026. Not every applicant will pay, only those told by the U.S. embassy.
